VISITS FOR SCHOOL GROUPS
MADMi’s educational program is aligned with the curricular framework of the Puerto Rico Department of Education’s many programs. Reservations are required for all visits by school or university groups. Admission to MADMi is free of charge to teachers and professors.
PRE-VISIT FOR TEACHERS
We recommend scheduling a visit for teachers and professors accompanying school/university groups before the group is brought so that the teacher/professor can become acquainted with the collection and draw connections between it and the teacher/professor’s classroom lessons and other curricular elements.
Tours and other activities are designed for groups of 25 students or fewer.
School groups of third-graders and above must be accompanied by one adult for each 10 students.
Pre-school through 2nd-grade students must be accompanied by one adult for each 5 students.
Reservations may be made for guided tours from Tuesday through Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. To schedule a guided tour, please email email@example.com. Thematic tours are led by an educator or volunteer docent who will lead the group and present works in the context of the theme the teacher or professor has chosen.
If a self-guided tour is preferred, thematic brochure-guides are available in the lobby. Given the size of the museum’s galleries and workshop, we recommend that groups be limited to 25 or fewer.
Guided tours last approximately 45–60 minutes.
