Why EVERYONE TO EVERYTHING 2?
Since we conceived the MADMi, we have dedicated ourselves to educating people about the importance of design and its diverse disciplines in the optimal functioning of our daily lives. Since our inauguration, we have presented several design exhibitions, but it is only now that we present the second edition of Everyone to Everything with a new selection of objects and designers representing different aesthetic schools, their methods and materials, as well as a wide variety of creative processes, from artisanal forms to the exploration of new technologies.
We all feel comfortable, safe, and even happy when we experience efficient spaces or when we use objects whose functions not only facilitate tasks but also resolve them with efficiency and elegance. These affinities have resulted in a very prolific moment in the local design scene, with several generations focused on creating highly executed objects, but with a powerful message that good design and its philosophy of facilitating quality of life are for everyone.
We tend to associate design with luxury or large scale, overlooking the multitude of objects created precisely to facilitate our daily lives. Their ubiquity leads us to take them completely for granted and forget how much of what we experience or use to live has been conceived and created by others. This is why the exhibition unfolds across three galleries with distinct approaches: it begins with a playful and intimate space that reinforces the connection between designers and the objects they design to meet our needs—at the beach, at home, or at work—and culminates with more formal spaces showcasing refined and minimalist objects.
In short, why Everyone to Everything 2?... Because these professionals need greater visibility and support for their work, whether institutional, private, or governmental. Because, if as a country we don't foster these creative minds that solve real problems daily, with the goal of a functional and effective society, we risk falling behind because we need more perspectives, where alternatives and solutions can open infinite possibilities.
